Salomon Shoe Size Chart

Salomon's own published size chart, covering a 21.5cm to 32.5cm foot, including a children's chart Salomon publishes itself. Every figure below is keyed to a measured foot length rather than converted from another size number. Open the calculator with Salomon selected to read it against all 35 brands at once.

Does Salomon run small?

Yes. By its own size chart, Salomon runs about half a size small in both men's and women's sizes. A 27 cm foot is a men's US 9 in 23 of 34 other brands' charts, and a US 9.5 in Salomon. Charts show how a brand means its sizes to fit, not how any one shoe feels, so read Salomon's own fit advice below as well.

Foot length	Salomon	Most common in other brands
Men's, 25.5 cm	US 8	US 7.5 (21 of 34)
Men's, 27 cm	US 9.5	US 9 (23 of 34)
Men's, 28.5 cm	US 11	US 10.5 (20 of 34)
Women's, 23 cm	US 6.5	US 6 (15 of 33)
Women's, 24 cm	US 7.5	US 7 (16 of 34)
Women's, 25 cm	US 8.5	US 8 (16 of 34)

How this is worked out: every foot length from 25 to 29 cm (men's) and 22.5 to 26 cm (women's), in 1 mm steps, is read against Salomon's chart and the other 34 brands' charts the way the calculator reads them, rounding up between sizes. The answer is the average gap between Salomon's size and the size the other brands give most often. See the methodology.

How to measure for Salomon

Salomon uses the same Mondopoint-based EU sizing as several other outdoor/trail-running brands; measure heel-to-toe standing, using the longer foot.

Salomon fit guidance

Salomon US sizes run true to size; UK sizes run about half a size small and EU sizes run about 0.7 of a size small relative to true foot length, per retailer fit guides -- the US or CM columns are the most direct fit. Salomon orders children's footwear by EU size rather than US, which is how their own size guide is laid out. The EU column is the one to match against a pair you already own. Their children's range covers roughly a 16cm to 24.5cm foot.
