Does Puma run small?

For women's sizes, yes. By its own size chart, Puma is in line with most brands in men's sizes and runs about half a size small in women's sizes. A 24 cm foot is a women's US 7 in 16 of 34 other brands' charts, and a US 7.5 in Puma. Charts show how a brand means its sizes to fit, not how any one shoe feels, so read Puma's own fit advice below as well.

How this is worked out: every foot length from 25 to 29 cm (men's) and 22.5 to 26 cm (women's), in 1 mm steps, is read against Puma's chart and the other 34 brands' charts the way the calculator reads them, rounding up between sizes. Puma publishes size charts in EU sizing as the base scale; measure heel-to-toe and compare against the longer foot.

Puma fit guidance

Puma runs true to size for length overall; Suede and Cali styles run narrow, so wide feet may want a half size up. If between sizes, size up. Verified against two independently-agreeing retailer transcriptions of Puma's own chart; US 4–5 are estimated since Puma's published table starts at US 6. Puma's children's range runs in three bands and the numbering collides (an infant 4 and a junior 4 are different shoes), so the smaller band is shown with a C suffix here. Puma's published children's figures vary more between retailers than most brands, and some charts quote the centimeter printed on the shoe box rather than a measured foot length; the figures here are foot length.
