How to measure for Converse
Converse sizing is unisex: the UK size matches the men's US number directly (not the usual UK = US-1 pattern seen in most other brands), and the same physical shoe is a men's size and a women's size two full US sizes higher.
Converse fit guidance
Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70 styles commonly run large; many wearers size down half a size from their usual size for these styles. Other silhouettes like Run Star Hike follow standard sizing. Verified against the official chart hosted by Nike (Converse's parent company). Converse publishes different children's charts for different model lines — their Standard Sneaker and Chuck Taylor kids charts do not agree at the same size, differing by around half a centimetre. The figures here follow the general Converse kids chart; check the specific model where the fit is marginal. Converse kids' sizing runs about 10C to 6Y, with 6Y matching a women's US 8 in length.
