Does Blundstone run small?

Yes. By its own size chart, Blundstone runs about a full size small in men's sizes and runs about half a size small in women's sizes. A 27 cm foot is a men's UK 8 in 15 of 32 other brands' charts, and a UK 9 in Blundstone. Charts show how a brand means its sizes to fit, not how any one shoe feels, so read Blundstone's own fit advice below as well.

How this is worked out: every foot length from 25 to 29 cm (men's) and 22.5 to 26 cm (women's), in 1 mm steps, is read against Blundstone's chart and the other 34 brands' charts the way the calculator reads them, rounding up between sizes. How to measure for Blundstone

Stand barefoot on paper and measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Blundstone boots are stamped with their AU/UK size on the sole, which is the brand's base sizing system -- the US figures shown here are conversions, so check the AU/UK number if you are matching against a boot you already own.

Blundstone fit guidance

IMPORTANT -- Blundstone half sizes add WIDTH, not length. A UK 7.5 is the same length as a UK 7 (both 254mm); it is a wider cut of the same last. Blundstone does not produce separate wide fittings, so if a boot is the right length but too tight across the foot, the half size up is the intended solution rather than a full size up. Because half sizes are not a length difference, only whole AU/UK sizes appear in the results here -- if the fit is snug in width, order the corresponding half size.
