How to measure for Red Wing

Measure heel-to-toe standing, using the longer foot, with the socks you plan to wear in the boot. Red Wing's own guidance is that a professional Brannock measurement is the right reference point for their boots rather than your sneaker size -- the two are often not the same.

Red Wing fit guidance

IMPORTANT -- fit differs by Red Wing line, and the brand says so itself. Red Wing states that Heritage boots typically run a half size to a full size LARGER, while Red Wing Work boots typically fit true to size. So for Heritage models (Moc Toe, Iron Ranger, Beckman and similar), most wearers take a half to a full size down from the size shown here; for Work boots, take the size as shown. Men's boots are built on a D width as standard with E, EE and wider available; the women's Heritage collection is built on a narrower B width. Red Wing leather also stretches and moulds to the foot with wear, so a snug-but-not-painful fit when new is expected.
