Adidas Shoe Size Chart

Adidas's own published size chart, covering a 22.1cm to 35.2cm foot, including a children's chart Adidas publishes itself. Every figure below is keyed to a measured foot length rather than converted from another size number. Open the calculator with Adidas selected to read it against all 35 brands at once.

Does Adidas run small?

Yes. By its own size chart, Adidas runs half a size to a full size small in men's sizes and runs slightly small in women's sizes. A 27 cm foot is a men's US 9 in 23 of 34 other brands' charts, and a US 10 in Adidas. Charts show how a brand means its sizes to fit, not how any one shoe feels, so read Adidas's own fit advice below as well.

How this is worked out: every foot length from 25 to 29 cm (men's) and 22.5 to 26 cm (women's), in 1 mm steps, is read against Adidas's chart and the other 34 brands' charts the way the calculator reads them, rounding up between sizes. The answer is the average gap between Adidas's size and the size the other brands give most often. See the methodology.

How to measure for Adidas

Adidas measures heel-to-toe length and recommends measuring at the end of the day. Compare the longer foot with the chart.

Adidas fit guidance

Adidas states that if you are between sizes, choose one size down for a tighter fit or one size up for a looser fit. Adidas separately publishes a JP column that runs up to 1.5cm larger than a measured foot at the top of its range, and that figure is a last measurement rather than a foot length, so the Japan figure shown here is your foot length in centimeters, per the Japanese JIS convention. If you are buying from an adidas Japan listing, check their own JP column rather than assuming it matches. adidas does not run a width programme. Wide 2E versions appear on select running models such as the Ultraboost, but most adidas shoes come in one width. The Primeknit upper stretches enough to accommodate mild width, which is not the same as a wider last. The calculator gives a general estimate rather than an adidas fitting, because there is no consistent fitting to give.
