How to measure for ASICS

ASICS recommends measuring foot length in centimeters and using the longer foot; letter widths (D/B standard, 2E/4E wide) are a separate fit dimension from length.

ASICS fit guidance

If your foot length falls between two ASICS sizes, most retailers recommend sizing up, especially for running models. Verified against two independent retailer transcriptions of ASICS's own size chart. ASICS children's sizes carry a K prefix up to K13, then restart at 1 for older kids — the prefix is what keeps a K4 distinct from a 4. ASICS also warns that the centimetre figure printed on a shoe box is not the same as a measured foot length, so match against your own measurement rather than a box marking. Children's width fittings use the same letters as the adult range: B narrow, D standard, 2E wide, 4E extra wide.
